Off-Grid and On-Camera: Tim's Custom Electric Motorcycle Conversion featured on Reality TV
Tim designed and built a custom electric powertrain as a drop-in replacement for a 250cc Honda Rebel motorcycle engine—an early personal project that combined his love of clean transportation with hands-on engineering. But the story doesn’t stop there. That same electric motorcycle became the off-grid power source for his and his wife Meredith’s beach wedding in Carpinteria, California. The entire celebration was featured on Wedding Day Makeover, a nationally aired series on TLC. The episode showcased not only the couple’s creativity and sustainability-minded values, but also Tim’s talent for bringing clean energy into everyday life—in this case, literally powering a once-in-a-lifetime moment. The project remains a personal favorite, blending innovation, romance, and a bit of reality TV history. |

Municipal-scale composting facility driving wind energy. Composting heats the air, which rises by chimney-effect up a central tower made of structural fabric. Direct-drive wind turbines at the air inlets produce electrical power from the resulting flow. |
