Hi, I’m Tim Sasseen. I’ve been working on clean energy systems for over 25 years—fuel cells, wind turbines, microgrids, batteries—you name it.
For me, the work has always been about more than just building new technology. It’s about getting that technology into the field. That means solving for the real world—funding, partnerships, policy, operations. That’s what moves the needle. I’ve led engineering teams, scaled fuel cell bus deployments across North America, designed blackstart microgrids for military bases, and helped shape hydrogen policy in California and beyond. I’ve worked with startups, OEMs, and public agencies to turn clean energy concepts into actual infrastructure. The projects I’m most proud of aren’t the ones that looked good in a lab. They’re the ones that made it through fire season or kept a city running during a blackout. The ones that started as napkin sketches and ended as working systems that delivered clean, reliable power—day after day. If we’re serious about decarbonizing, we need more than innovation. We need deployment. That’s what I do. I build systems that don’t just sound good—they work. They last. And they move us forward. |
